Are you new to painting and just don't know where to begin? Or have you finished your painting but something is not quite working for you and you don't know how to improve it?
I understand - all artists, including myself, have to start somewhere, and my biggest hurdle was not knowing what I didn't know! There are no shortcuts, only hours on the brush, but it does help to have someone point you in the right direction!

New classes are being formulated, to commence 2nd Term 2023. Please register your interest as numbers are limited and will determine how many sessions and when of which classes I will hold based on demand
Madeleine has created 3 different class formats to suit your skill levels and confidence.
- Beginners Class: For the absolute newbs, never painted before, or it was so long ago you can't remember. These classes are structured tutorial classes to teach you the fundamentals of painting and composition.
- Intermediate: You already paint but need to learn more skills and techniques - You don't know what you don't know! These classes are structured tutorial classes exploring techniques to further develop your painting practise.
- General: Have been painting for a while now, happy with my knowledge base, but need some finesse to make my paintings come alive. These classes are general mentoring sessions where you will receive feedback and instruction as you progress through your painting, to help you achieve great results.

FAQ:

Can I get a refund if I don't turn up?
Unfortunately, as class numbers are small, I cannot offer refunds for no shows. Should you become aware that you will not be able to make a class please contact me as soon as possible. I may possibly be able to offer a make up session in another time slot depending on which class you are attending, but only upon prior notice.
How long and how often is each class?
Classes run for 2.5 hours, and are held each school week of the term. Classes are not held on public holidays.
What medium do you teach?
I teach in the use of acrylic and oil paints.
What will we paint?
For the Beginners and Intermediate Classes, painting topics, themes, etc will be dictated by the teacher in order to facilitate the learning at that given time, however, there will be choices provided so you can pick something that appeals to you most. For the General Mentoring Class, the style and painting topic is open and is of your own choice.
